I’m so happy I went solar with Rick G! I never give strangers who knock on my door the opportunity to engage with me. Rick caught me just as I was about to go into the house one day. He was not at all pushy but rather friendly and sociable. I gave him the time to tell me a little about what he was offering, and I was intrigued. He said he was doing a solar install with a roof replacement around the corner, and if I was ever thinking of going solar, he encouraged me to stop by the job and follow the install process. He gave me his card and off he went. Being that I had investigated solar years prior, I was intrigued but if I am honest, I was also very apprehensive. I did stop by the home where he was in the process of installation while walking my dog. It was just 2 blocks away from my home. The workers were on the roof and finishing up the roof replacement. Some time after, the solar was installed. Rick and I spoke again and he came to give me an estimate and explained the process and what I could expect in costs for the system for my home. He provided me with details of the rebates I would qualify for and how much out of pocket I would spend.

He literally spent hours with me. I was not an easy customer. With a kid off to college and finances up in the air, I was not ready to add more uncertainty to my plate. Rick was understanding and stopped the process. He asked me to keep his info and let him know when I was ready. Months later I checked in with the homeowner around the corner to ask about her experience with Rick G and her energy bills and rebates. She had nothing but good things to say. I called Rick back and he was happy to re-visit my solar project. I did call other companies to compare and none of them were as personable or as reasonable as Rick was. Some companies that came with recommendations from friends didn’t even call back.

One phone call to Rick, and he made an appointment to meet me back at my house to go over it all again. Again, he took his time and re-explained the project as it would relate to my home. He was happy to go over it all again. He remembered and inquired about my son’s college experience so far. He was happy to engage with my dog and remembered his name. He genuinely comes across as someone who cares about making my life easier and the world a cleaner place for everyone. Just the kind of person who you would be comfortable entrusting your home to. The process took about 2-3 months or so. He was/is easy to get a hold of day and night. He responds to text messages, emails or phone calls promptly. His partners are also quick to respond and they ALL seem to genuinely care about the home, the homeowner and making the process straightforward.

From contract singing to panel design and installation, my satisfaction was always their top priority. If an issue arose, they took care of it with little effort from me. I am very happy with my systems appearance, the seamlessness of the installation and the customer service I have received from everyone involved, including the installation team. I would recommend Rick G. to anyone who is interested in going solar. After seeing my Con Ed bill for the first time since the Solar system has been fully functional and synced up to the utility provider’s system, I had to celebrate! “Balance due ‘NONE’.” I opened that bill on Mother’s Day. I had to message Rick with a message of thanks. “HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ME” I wrote and he (as usual) responded right back to me “Happy Mothers Day” 🙂 I am very happy with Solanta’s service. RICK G and his team are the ONLY recommendation I would give to embark on this project with.
